Rasheedudheen Alpatta
Managing Editor & Principal Traveler
Rasheedudheen Alpatta is the Managing Editor of Journeyist Global, a travel vlog that presents in-depth stories on people, history, and culture, with a special focus on civilizations, all narrated in Malayalam.
Originally from Wayanad, Kerala, and currently based in Dubai, Rasheedudheen is a seasoned journalist with over two decades of experience. He spent 20 years in New Delhi as an accredited journalist with the Press Information Bureau (PIB), working with Madhyamam Daily and later serving as Special Correspondent and Political Editor for MediaOne TV before establishing Journeyist Global.
Renowned for his analytical depth and storytelling, Rasheedudheen has traveled extensively across India and abroad, experiences that have greatly enriched his work. Over his journalistic career, he has reported on five Lok Sabha elections and more than 25 Assembly elections. He has covered major national developments from India’s power center in New Delhi, reporting on leading political parties, the Supreme Court of India, and several landmark events. His international reporting includes a visit to Pakistan during the tumultuous period of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination. He is also the author of three books:
Athirthiyile Munthaha Marangal (Chintha Publishers, 2019): A political travelogue exploring the lives of people on both sides of the Indo-Pakistan border, widely read in Malayalam.
Bheekaraakramanam: Utharam Kittatha Chodyangal: A detailed study and analysis of terrorist attacks and bomb explosions in India.
Bosnian Travelogue: A reflective account of his experiences in Bosnia.
In addition, he has contributed columns to Malayalam dailies such as Madhyamam and Suprabhatham. Nearly 50 of his documentaries on Indian social life have been broadcast on MediaOne TV.
A passionate traveler, Rasheedudheen has so far visited 21 countries, bringing global perspectives to his journalism and storytelling.
